Weather Summary:

Weather Forecast: Issued on Friday, February 3, 2012

A high pressure ridge over southern Ontario is causing light winds, while a cold front moving southward over northern and central Ontario is causing mostly cloudy skies during Friday with scattered light precipitation over northern regions. Temperatures above seasonal values are forecast in most of the forecast regions during the next several days.

During Saturday, a high pressure ridge is forecast to move over southern Ontario and to cause light winds and sunny skies over most regions, except for cloudiness over northwestern regions ahead of a northern low pressure trough, and some cloudiness over southwestern regions ahead of a southern low pressure system.

During Sunday, the high pressure ridge is forecast to cause mostly sunny skies and light winds over all forecast regions.

Air quality indices are forecast to remain generally in the good category during the next several days across the province. Light winds and weak dispersion conditions in some regions may allow concentrations of local ground level pollutants to increase, but the air quality indices are expected to remain in the good category.
